Our mission

The Swiss Society for Clinical Chemistry aims to enhance patient care through the advancement of laboratory medicine. As a recognized scientific organization, the SSCC actively contributes to the field through:

• Research and Development: Promoting innovation in laboratory medicine to support disease prevention, diagnosis, monitoring, and therapy.

• Education and Training: Organizing national and international scientific conferences and providing continuing education programs to maintain high-quality standards and train the next generation of professionals.

• Standardization and Quality Assurance: Developing expert recommendations and guidelines for standardized and reference methods, including quality assurance measures.

• Regulatory Training: Establishing regulatory frameworks and offering courses for the training of laboratory technicians and laboratory heads.

• Networking and Collaboration: Promoting fruitful collaborations between members, sister societies, and international organizations; facilitating partnerships among practitioners, pharmacists, and other scientists with shared interests in clinical chemistry.
